the gift of tutorials....

throughout the month of november sew, mama, sew! has been posting tutorials from around the craft community as a means to encourage a hand made holiday... what a spectacular idea!

today they have graciously posted my covered button tutorial {slide show with music here} along with some other wonderful lessons on craft from blair at wisecraft.., heather at HELLO my name is heather, beki at artsy-crafty babe, and barbara at barbara brandenburg.

if anyone out there was doubting the necessity of the internets, well, doubt no more. it is so nice to be among such generous people, and all through the clicks of a couple of keys and a mouse.... just one more thing to be thankful for.

inspiration at the book store

i went to the bookstore looking for bust magazine and inspiration.... i found both, but decidedly not in the same place.

the magazine has a little bit of me in it this month, my gocco'd celebrity sighting book, but it looks wrong - mostly because my book does not have breasts drawn on the front with what looks to me like eyelashes too... i don't understand, and didn't have a magnifying glass and then i stopped caring.  not that breasts are bad - they are not, but they ain't what i had in mind for the cover of my little book.  no matter, hardly.... anyway.

inspiration came at me from a different area in the store.  it also came home with me.  i see comings and goings and routes and colors and all sorts of ideas in my future. because, if i can't travel in my real life i am going to do it in my creative life....

and one more...

i am also thankful for flour, yeast, salt and water - and high oven temperatures and le cruset and a dremel...
