yesterday was chet's birthday. i nearly let it pass without notice and generally this happens. he is thirteen, and i suspect that i have missed eight of them entirely, luckily he is mighty forgiving. i know i am his biggest fan, by far..., all in all he has been a pretty great dog. i think pretty smart too, but like his owner, he doesn't like to flaunt it. case in point; he graduated three, THREE, times from obedience school. impressive, no? i am a firm believer that it is the owner and not the dog that needs the training and i have promised, to the powers that be, that the next dog will be better trained and therefore behaved. thankfully, he has a heart of gold, and one hell of a personality.
chettie has been going through a bit of a rough patch lately and just two weeks ago i didn't think he was going to see his thirteen year. luckily i was wrong.
so this is for you chet, happy birthday and here's to at least a couple more good ones.
Happy Birthday Chet! I remember when you were just a pup and so cute----which by the way you still are.

Hi Chet!!! Happy Birthday!!!
Thanks for leaving me that awesome comment on my blog about the birdwatching, it was REALLY great to hear from a fellow bird watcher!!!
I had a cocker spaniel from the time I was 2 (my grandparents bought him as a gift for me, but he was in love with my mum) until I was 18. He was so so so old when he passed away, but he was the greatest little dog ever! Chet looks great!!!
Thanks again!!
